01/07/08 Please pick up the class page and a questionnaire. Fill in the questionnaire which should then be returned in class.

01/07/08 There won't be a discussion session in the first week.

01/07/08 In the first week, Nan will hold her office hour on Thursday Jan 10th, 4:00pm - 6:00pm in Room EBU3 B250A.

01/14/08 The due date for Homework #1 is changed to Wed. Jan. 16.

01/14/08 There are no discussion sections scheduled for the following few weeks.

01/14/08 Since some students cannot make the office hour on Tuesday, Nan will hold her office hour today after class. Bring your questions to the class!

01/16/08 Solutions to Homework 1 is posted. Problem Chapter 1-2 and Chapter 1-8 will be graded.

01/29/08 There will be a bi-weekly discussion session starting Feb. 4 to be held after the class.

02/04/08 There will be an extra review session on Feb. 11 starting 5pm during the class time.

02/04/08 The midterm is to be held Feb. 13 at 5-6:20pm during the class time. It is a closed book exam.

02/12/08 No TA office hour for this week.

02/20/08 A bonus problemd is posted at the homework page. This is an opportunity for extra points.

02/20/08 The homework assignment #4 (due Feb. 25) is cancelled.

03/01/08 The discussion section for the week 9 will be moved to Wednesday (03/05/08) after class. We will do the professor and TA Evaluation also on Wednesday.

Final exam is a take-home exam which will be handed out on Wednesday March 12th 6pm
and be handed in by 3pm, Thursday March 20 at EBU3 2136.
Note that the exam scores depend on the efficiency of your algorithm. For example, if the best algorithm has running time O(log n) but your algorithm is O(n^2), you will only get a very partial score.
