Independent analytical and administrative responsibility for pre- and post-award activities associated with extramural accounts for approximately 25 PIs. Prepares, processes and submits contract and grant proposals. Manages accounts to insure compliance with University and government rules, regulations and policies. Responsible for coordinating, training, approving, and auditing of online IFIS journals (allocations and expenditures), online purchasing, check requests and travel. Assists faculty and related academic personnel in the acquisition and administration of research funding. Acts as liaison with OCGA, OPAFS, General Accounting, OGSR and other central campus departments. Provides fiscal advice, assistance and guidance to faculty and departmental support staff. Assists fiscal manager in development and implementation of departmental computer databases to automate accounting, contracts and grants and reporting processes.
