Operating systems and networks, focusing on improving performance and reliability of Internet-scale systems
Professor Pasquale's research is in the areas of operating systems and networks (subjects he also teaches),
focusing on improving performance and reliability of Internet-scale systems through algorithmic and
architectural design. His research team is investigating new network and operating system software
architectures to support large-scale peer-to-peer computing on the Internet, extended client/server
structures for mobile computing with wireless communications, and improved quality of service for distributed
multimedia (digital video and audio) applications.
