CSE141 - Introduction to Computer Architecture (Formerly CSE 170B)

Course Objectives: This course gives a comprehensive and self-contained view of computer architecture. The emphasis is on underlying design principles. The course is a departure point for research in computer engineering.
Course Description: Introduction to computer architecture. Computer system design. Processor design. Control design. Memory systems.
Format: 3 hours of lecture per week, 1 hour of section per week, 1 hour of lab per week, and 7 hours of outside preparation per week.
Prerequisites: CSE 140, CSE 140L or consent of the instructor. CSE 141L should be taken concurrently.
Other restrictions: Majors only.
