CSE145 - Microprocessor Systems Design (Formerly CSE 175C)

Course Objectives: This course gives students an in-depth, hands on understanding of micropro-cessors and their interaction with associated integrated circuits.
Course Description: Writing and debugging programs on a microprocessor development system. Real time interfacing considerations with peripheral integrated circuits. Introduction to implementation of a real time operating system, an on-line debugger, and real time interrupts for timing and I/O.
Format: 2 hours lecture, 6 hours lab, 4 outside preparation.
Prerequisites: CSE 30, CSE 140, and CSE 140L
Other restrictions: Majors only.
