Due at the start of class on Tuesday April 24.
For this assignment you should choose one article from the issue of the New York Review of Books you received in class. (If you did not attend class you may choose an article from the NYRB web site.)
(1) (About 300 words.) Explain why and how the article you have chosen is a good nonfiction essay. Analyze both the content and the organization and writing of your chosen article.(2) (About 600 words.) Using the article you have chosen as your primary source, select a topic that is not already covered in Wikipedia, and write a Wikipedia article about it. You are free to use other reputable sources also, but your focus should be on writing a good short article yourself, not on finding additional material.
