I am a graduate student at the University of California, San Diego. I worked in industry for about 5 years before coming back to school, and I believe that working outside of academia prior to graduate school is a good idea. My advisor is Pavel Pevzner.

As of July, 2006, I am also a researcher at the Biomedical Informatics Research Network. I am currently building a system that will run jobs on a collection of clusters. Yes, it sounds like this has been done before, but there are some important differences between this and what a lot of other people have written.
